1. What are longies and shorties?
Longies and shorties are wool pants and shorts designed to be used as a cloth diaper cover. Wool will absorb and hold up to 30% of its own weight in liquid, so it is the perfect natural material to cover a dipe with. Since cloth diapers can be bulky, using a pair of longies or shorties as a diaper cover allows you to do away with a layer, cutting down on the bulk of the dipe, cover and pants or shorts. Or you can just use them as really cute pants or shorts. In fact, a lot of children can continue to wear their longies and shorties as regular bottoms after they have learned to use the potty because the bulk of the diaper is gone, leaving some growing room.

2. What is lanolizing and how do I do it?
Lanolin is the substance found in wool that makes it naturally water resistant. Initially, some fo the lanolin in the wool is lost through processing. You need to put the lanolin back into the wool before using it as a diaper cover, or the cover is likely to leak. Eucalan Wool Wash does double duty as a cleansing agent and a lanolizer. Some mamas with heavy wetters would rather wash and lanolize separately. In this case, you can wash with Eucalan and then lanolize with a product like Lansinoh Lanolin, which can be found at many drug stores. Place the longies or shorties in lukewarm water with the products of your choice and let them soak. Do NOT scrub, as this will make the wool felt (shrink and thicken).

3.What measurements do you need?
For the best fit, we need your child's waist, rise and inseam measurements. The rise measurement is taken by measuring from the top of the waistband of the dipe in front, through the legs and up to the top of the waistband of the dipe in the back while your child is in only their diaper. 4. What is your shipping policy?
Crankypants charges a flat rate shipping fee of $3.00 for orders up to $75. Orders over $75 are shipped free.

5. What is your turnaround time?
Turnaround time for an in stock item is no more than 2 days. We do our best to ship custom items no more than two weeks (per item) after payment and custom information are received.

6. What is your return policy?
You may return unused and unwashed in stock items within 14 business days. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. Custom items may only be returned if there is a defect in the work (including a sizing mistake on our part) for a replacement of the exact item.

7. Do you ever do custom yarn dying?
Yes! Ask and you shall receive! Well, you have a better chance of receiving anyway. We will do our best to work with you and get the exact item you want. If you have a specific color, fabric, thickness, design or anything else you would like, ask away. We can't promise we'll be able to do it, but we can promise to try our derndest.
